The old University Hospital complex at 9th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard are making plans which residents are supporting. 7News Denver reported the new plan include a King Soopers. This was confirmed by Kelli McGannon, the grocery chain’s spokeswoman. According to Mary Beth Susman, Denver City Council President, “… the new plan calls for King Soopers, a senior living facility and a hotel, along with peripheral retail. ”
Susman said the council approves of this development because it includes more housing and retail sales, which means more tax income for the city.
