Congress Park, Denver is the name of both a neighborhood and a park in Colorado. It is bordered on the west by York Street, on the south by Sixth Avenue, on the north by Colfax Avenue and on the east by Colorado Boulevard.
Living in Congress Park
Congress Park real estate is hot for many reasons. The neighborhood has a large number of excellent restaurants that have been recognized by 5280 Magazine over the years. More specifically, the neighborhood offers:

Community Hubs and Events in Congress Park
The gardens always have events and activities that are great for family members of all ages. It also represents an excellent opportunity to enjoy everything that the great outdoors has to offer.
Just north of Congress Park is Denver’s largest park. City Park is home to the Denver Zoo and Museum of Nature and Science. The Denver Post provides a list of activities and events happening at City Park.
This Meetup hosts outings to the zoo and other kid-friendly ventures for Congress Park parents of young children. The group also sponsors nighttime social events just for parents, and it is a great place for stay-at-home moms who want to find a weekly play group or a support network to connect.
The longest commercial street in the United States borders are neighborhood! Colfax Avenue is developing into a vibrant scene for urban dwellers. Being in walking distance to the live music at the Fillmore Auditorium or Twist and Shout makes Congress Park real estate attractive to many. There are lots of wonderful, eclectic shops and restaurants.
Located nearby the film center is a great source of information on all of the latest films on both the smaller, independent festival markets and big budget epics.
This big dog park is on Colfax Avenue, right at the north edge of Congress Park. A hard sand surface makes for easy clean up. Dog owners should be aware, however, that the park is in the full sun. While the “Adopt a Jug” Program provides fresh water, there is no fountain here. It’s a good idea to bring supplemental water.
This is one of the best schools in the Denver area. It’s located in the heart of Congress Park and services children in early childhood education through grade five. It features a large number of extracurricular programs for students, including a winter/spring after school enrichment program.

Since 2007 the market for Congress Park real estate definitely grew. Even though the area was hit by the housing crash just like everyone else, it has been able to successfully recover in the years since. Because the area itself is up and coming, people who are interested in buying homes for sale in Congress Park are looking at the area both to raise a family and as an investment opportunity. Congress Park, Denver is the 16th most walkable community in the entire state and is also very bikeable. One of the things that makes homes for sale in Congress Park so attractive is the fact that it has very good public transportation.
